The induction ceremony is traditionally held on the final Saturday of September each year. This year, 2012, the induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 13 beginning at 10:00 AM.
The proceedings take place in the school foyer, which will accommodate approximately 100 people. This setting allows for the official party to be seated on the upper level with the audience in front, on the lower section. The Case of Distinction, housing past and present inductees, is thus able to be unveiled at the conclusion of the hour-long ceremony.
The official party usually includes each inductee or his / her representative, the current school administration, the Student Council president or representative and those special guests who will introduce each new member of the Case of Distinction. Approximately 10 minutes are allotted for each inductee to be introduced and to speak themselves.
Following the ceremony there will be a reception in the cafeteria, during which the inductees, their families and friends, may mingle with each other and former staff and current guests who have been invited at the request of each inductees.
The entire proceedings are video taped in order that a commemorative DVD may be produced and given to each new member of the KCSS Case of Distinction.
